Being sensitive to those in need is a big part of being a responsible member of the community. Every year, we provide money to help low-income families and individuals pay their natural gas bill. And in many of our communities, we provide energy-saving items to help those in need lower their energy bills. Efficiency Kansas helps Kansas residents identify and finance sensible energy-efficiency improvements in their homes and small businesses.
The Kansas Weatherization Assistance Program, funded through the U.S. Department of Energy and the Low-Income Energy Assistance Program, provides housing improvements that increase energy efficiency in income-eligible, single- or multi-family dwellings, including manufactured homes.
The Kansas Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) is a federally funded program that helps eligible households pay a portion of their home energy costs by providing a one-time per year benefit.
